BnW 5Shot Challenge
I was recently nominated by @samir_insta (via Instagram) to do a #blackandwhite #5shotchallenge. I had to post 5 #bnw shots in 5 days or less and consider challenging one other instagrammer to do the same. This was quite challenging for me, as I don't shoot in Black and White (I use snapseed to change my images to black and white). How do you do it? These are the images I eventually posted. Comments are welcome. John

Cape High Court Drama
Cape Town High Court today was once again subjected to a group of people unhappy with service delivery and made use of their freedom of speech and right to gather! The mood was oddly relaxed, and in the end an agreement was made, with the group peacefully dispersing afterwards.

PhoDroid Snapseed Edits
Having an Android device means having access to a multitude software, some of which we cannot imagine... Personally one of my favourite must have apps is Snapseed.
We all take good photo's, but there are some great photo's out there. Its no use you pity yourself, your equipment or something else. The best tool is the one you have. Make sure its used to the max!!!
Here's one or two examples I have done on my gobii IVP 4.5 inch Android Phone.
I do hope you like it!

Android Photo Awards
During my daily searches I came across an interesting link - and I HAD to share it. Makes one think, hey. There's a small entry fee required, but it will probably be worth your while to check it out. There are 9 different #PhoDroid categories, and you may enter the SAME pic per 2 Categories. I immediately joined their mailing list.
Oh, there are various prizes, including a quarterly $500 price. Me likey! do.ob

Photography by Android device (PhoDroid)
To cellpic, or NOT to cellpic - Is that the true question? |
Technology is allowing us to broaden our horizons, to get more people in touch with one another, making our world smaller, giving us opportunities we never had before. With the addition of a small camera lens, it has given most of us the opportunity to play photographer. Okay, so some are still stuck looking at themselves - #selfie - others are taking some serious and noteworthy photo's out there. And I, being an avid amateur picture taker, would love to jump on the bandwagon (no photographer here yet!). So I need all the help I can get!
